Almost all laptop computer manufacturers are starting to come out with smaller versions of the traditional laptop called Netbooks. These computers are designed to maximize portability and are built specifically for web surfing and e-mailing. Netbooks trade their bulk, ability to run advanced programs, and internal optical drives (CD/DVD drives) for a host of desirable features such as lower power consumption, longer battery life, portability, and lower cost.
